This is why I don’t drink this varietal. In my mind, it typically presents as hollow on the mid palate, no weight. Almost nondescript. Glug on a hot summer’s day perhaps.

The 2021 Pinot Grigio wafts up with a floral mix of apricots and gingery spice. It's fruit-focused on the palate, with citrus-tinged green apple giving way to vanilla custard nuances toward the close. This leaves a staining of minerality while finishing on a savory note. Peach fuzz, lemon bar, lime zest, honey graham cracker. Bone dry palate, zesty stone fruit and minerality. Lemon tart, but ripe green apple too. Screams for oysters or sushi.

Absolutely bone dry. Surprised it is still a liquid. Imagine 1st base with king tut. Not thousands of years ago. Like Thursday. Acidity is balanced with laser focus. Fades quickly.
