Really good. 2017 drinking a little early but great balance, earthy, not too bright. Would like to taste (and will) in another 5-7 years. Wonderful.

super impressive Pinot ~ waves of fruits, flowers, herbs & spices waft from the glass ~ flavors expand the palate in the same fashion with a voluminous texture yet lifting finish

Translucent red. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes red fruit preserves, incense and potpourri, with smoky mineral and Asian spice accents building as the wine opens up. Juicy, appealingly sweet and concentrated yet lithe on the palate, offering intense raspberry, cherry liqueur, spicecake flavors and a hint of candied rose on the back half. Delivers solid punch but comes off graceful, showing absolutely no rough edges on its extremely long, vibrant, red fruit-driven finish. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, June 2019)

Recreation of “Judgement of Paris II” blind Pinot tasting with the addition of a bonus wine from the Central Otago:
medium dark ruby • red berry liqueur, potpourri, sous bois, a bit stemmy • very pure, very tannic, excellent persistence • made from 70% whole clusters, foot-stomped, barrique-aged, named after grower Mimi Casteel, the most tannic in the Linqua Franca range and in this flight • will reward long-term aging

Much too soon, but such a gorgeous wine. Cherry, raspberry, roses, lavender, and a teeny touch of funk. Gotta get more to lay down.

Lovely. Full and rich but bright and snappy at the same time.

Cherry and raspberry still bright with lots of acidity. Herbal, chocolate and cedar notes. Tannins come out after a few hours of breathing. Think this will benefit from a few more years.

Needed a 2 hour decant. This is still a purple wine with ample black fruits. Enjoyed with grilled duck legs and mushroom wild rice. A great match.
