May 13th, 2020I find this to be a knockout for the price. Great purity, expressive nose, complex palate and plenty of charm for an easy drop. The tannins have a nice presence, adding definition. Ripe and juicy black raspberry and black cherry notes, kirsch, crushed earth, struck rocks, violets and cinnamon spices. It certainly has a volcanic tone to it. There’s and slight undertone of savoriness and sweet wood that highlight the wine. Very nicely done. 35 WC 20% N oak.
