California Pinot Noir

Starts with light herbal aromas of rose, popouri and strawberry with a whiff of earthy tobacco. Mild tannins with minimal sweetness. Unfortunately the pallate is slightly overwhelmed by the acidity & alcohol but hints of wild blueberry and clove make it through. However, it definitely improved as the wine decanted for an hour allowing more fruit to shine through. Paired with Cornish game hen with rosemary stuffing. ($7)

14.5%. Sweet aroma. Light bodied. Flavor is light with somewhat of a lingering bite that doesn't pair too well with the sweetness. However very smooth for the ABV. Not great, but not bad.

Dec 26th, 2015Smooth, not too heavy, just the right hint of fragrance with a dash of bright - like daydreaming in a sun patch amongst a grove of shaded oak. Perfect to share between a red (me) and sweet (her) enthusiast. ;) <3
