Rich, dark fruit, velvety texture… very perfumed. Very good.

Its been awhile since I had a nice red wine from my cellar. Just arrived in Houston after a three day road trip this afternoon and having dinner at our favorite wine friendly restaurant. Delicious food and wine...doesn’t get much better than this. Great food...great wine.

At a Mexico City restaurant in Houston. Probably would have scored higher at Morton’s.

Felt like a napa cab- this fit the bill. Fruit forward, oak but the alcohol was so high. The bottle says 15.5%, I will take the over. Perhaps just preference but the alcohol was high on the nose and dominated the taste as well.

Great cabernet that was pop and pour. Much better than the merlot. Blackberries, toasted oak, chocolate, spice box, slight cherry. 🎄🎅🏻🛷

Wine Spectator's wine of the year. Personally, my second favorite wine of the night (vs. 2013 Insignia). Refined, somewhat constrained effort relative to prior Lewis offerings.

Chocolatey with port like notes. Too ripe for my palate.

2014 vintage tasted Xmas 2016. Strong tobacco, with overtones of cherry and cloves. And a faint whiff of acetone in the nose. Strong front end, weakens at the roof of the palate, with a soft finish. The acetone scent takes some getting used to. Not worth the $75 I paid for it. I'd find it difficult to recommend this wine, but it's not horrible. Just strange. Maybe the acetone volatiles will fade in a few years!
