Why pinot Gris deserves more respect. Full of flavor, with an unctuous texture and minerality

Pretty floral aromatics on this bone-dry Pinot Gris, needs cellaring, complex and really well-made Pinot Gris!!

May 15th, 2019For me, the honeyed delights and floral complexities of this Alsatian wine remind me why they are among my favorites. To my palate, it borders on perfection.

Last half... 😕
Dry, exotic, full of fruit and spice.
Delicious stuff.

A half bottle of dry lush peaty tropical oriental spice and fruit.
Lovely!
A half bottle of dry lush peaty tropical oriental spice and fruit.
Lovely!

Beautiful, rustic nose of peat, licorice, black tea, spicebox, almond, mushroom and dried autumn fruit. Soft entree, dry-ish mouthfeel, nuances of warm pastry, apricot and orange oil. Lovely bitterness in the finish, sufficient acidity. All in all, really a wonderful, vivid, fresh and interesting glass of white wine.
From .375, totally a point.
