Everyone hates on airport food and wine but I might have just found my favorite airport spot in the world. CRU at Terminal D in DFW! Wine is served at proper temp with proper wine ware! Lauren offered precise recommendations, favorable pours, and plenty of samples. This particular Sancerre was impressive for airport standards or otherwise. Greatly paired with my Cesar Salad.

Color is pale straw that fades to clear. Nose of lemon curd, honey and spring blossoms. Palate tastes of grapefruit, white peaches and finishes with smoke. There is a touch of salt on the finish and a good amount of acid giving the appearance of being dry.

A perfect lightly balanced Sauv Blanc: an awesome canvas for a wonderful evening (or afternoon) that blends with everything. Light acidic citrus on the finish note compliments a side dish of cheese. Perfect solo as well as some wet earth and grapes form a subtle nose and initial sip. Buy a lot of this!
