Le Cadeau
Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Clean, somewhat simple, refreshing. Plenty of tart red and black fruit on the nose along with some earthy mineral notes. Nice mouthfeel due to the balanced acidity and round tannin. Very easy to drink.

Aug 8th, 2015Lost a bit of its brightness... earthy with black fruits. Lacking that Pinot pop.

Feb 4th, 2015Smells like my kind of Pinot Noir. No vanilla. A bit too much alcohol especially for a 13.3% alcohol. Dark berry on the palate - maybe drunken overripe ones at that. Didn’t pair well with duck seared and roasted under slices of blood orange - a travesty on a Friday night.

Apr 19th, 2024Smells like a Pinot Noir with an unexpected tingle for a 13.3% alcohol content. Notes of dark berry but perhaps a bit overripe drunk ones. Did not pair well with duck breast seared and broiled over blood orange slices - a travesty on a Friday night

Apr 19th, 2024Big and concentrated, especially for pinot. Really funky, especially on the nose, maybe it would’ve blown off with more time open.

This Le Cadeau Vineyard Red Label Pinot Noir hails from Willamette Valley, Oregon. 🇺🇸
It is well-balanced and elegant with medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13.3%), a medium body and a medium finish. 👌👌👌
The nose and palate offer bright red fruit characteristics such as tart cherry, cranberry, raspberry; also notes of rhubarb, violet, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, cola, pipe tobacco, and earthy notes of potting soil. 🍒🍒🍷🍷
Its expression grew and opened as it had time to breathe. It’s a lovely Pinot indeed. ☺️

Chehalem Mountain Oregon Pinot. Aromas are dominated by alcohol. (14.1%). Some hints of cola, mushroom and earth but little fruit on the nose. Subtle cranberry and dark cherry flavors with lots of cola and baking spice on the pallet. Tannins are soft and the finish is a bit hefty and tight. The alcohol simply takes over in this wine.
