Definitely showing its age but still solid. Black fruits still abound but time to drink!

So old world in its interpretation and how it showed with graceful age here in 2019. Very little intervention in the winemaking as I have come to understand it from Randall and getting to know these wines past and present. A surprise winner of the bottles opened as part of dinner in good company. I will keep my eyes peeled for more bottles of the 1980’s vintages from LG as I have seen a few pop up across Sonoma County’s wine honey holes 🍯

Blackberry, raspberry, currant, vanilla, licorice and oak. Good structure and well-integrated tannins.

1996 vintage. Very mineral, "rocky" nose, high acid, restrained cab with still lively black fruit (cassis) and spices.Profound and balanced by very present but well-integrated mountain tannin. Very mineral finish. Lovely if you like this style.

In amazing shape, exceeded expectations bigly. Red berries, plums, cassis, great acidity, just really pretty wine. Many called Bdx on this one

Either this or the 1982 is the best wine Patrick Campbell ever made. Still opaque ruby, tons of fruit, great acidity, balanced tannins. Amazing! Sourced at Chambers NYC.

Silky and smooth for a young gun. Like laying in a bowl of fresh blackberries.

Wow In a flight of chateau montelena and caymus 85s this drop kicked them out of the room. Hints of Brett but adds to the complexity of black olive, camphor, Dried fruits and herbs. Patrick Campbell made so many great wines and does not get enough credit this wine sings, bravo.
