Sep 21st, 2019Had a few prior vintages, ok but not a fan. Ruby with dark fruit aromas and big spicy notes. On the palate blackberry flavor with notes of black pepper and vanilla. Savory, grainy tannins on medium finish ending with earthy herb notes. Ok for price but look for something better. Tasting Sample.

Earthy black fruit nose with some pepper spice, that peppery bite continues on the tongue, some coffee bitter notes, chalky tannins, nice tartness but ends abrupt and flat. It acquitted itself nicely paired with a spicy spinach Cacio e Pepe pasta. QPR is definitely there at under $10 after discounts - Total Wine

Color of different shades of purple, quite clear. Nose of dark fruits like cherry and plum, a bit spice, some wet oyster mushroom, some currants. Nose is average. Taste of pretty solid tannins and acidity, some green grapes, green apple, zest, and some chocolate. Aftertaste of some more leafy note. Average.

Light weight bottle with a pretty pedestrian label. Smells like leather, tar and fruit leather. Flavor is nice. Woodsy and balanced. Bit of dark chocolate on the finish. Pretty smooth. For the price I got no complaints here.
