Citrus, gardenia, buttery but not overly. Big and rich. Well integrated, balanced.

10-12 years ago I really liked this chard, but I now find these buttery, oaky versions just too diffucult to enjoy...any citrus or minerality goodness is covered up by the post vineyard manipulation...

Sipping Fine Wine

Opening a bottle, the color is a bright golden straw with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with some earthy spices. The wine sits on French oak for 10 months (33% new). On the palate crisp apple, pear and lemon zest with a touch of oak. Balances with lively acidity, the finish is about medium and ends with citrus mineral notes. Drink now for its freshness!

Pours color of yellow in color. ON THE NOSE: butter, pear and honey. ON THE PALATE: pear, almond, and Fuji apple. Worried about it being a bitter bomb from the aromas but pleasantly not so! THANK YOU for that. Medium body medium finish.

Very crisp and clean with a slight buttery aftertaste. Very good value for the price. Comparable to a Russian River Valley chardonnay.

Needed something to pair with Halloween candy! Thought the mild butter in this and acidity would go well!

Very good
