Deep Ruby color, purple hues, with aromas of black fruits, cedar and floral baking spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with sweet tobacco and cinnamon spice notes. Full-bodied, fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak and an earthy mineral character. Nice!

It’s medium bodied, heavy for a pinot. California, of course. Cherry vanilla cola screams out obviously with plums and sweet dark cherries. As the 2016 opens there is a little leather, a little chocolate, a little spice. Really, a nice Sonoma Pinot. $18 for the next vintage??? That is a steal.

2012 vintage. Fantastic. One of the best pinots I have had at this price point. Great balance of spice, fruit & acidity. Had with Avalanche Fromager d'affinos with Truffles.
