Very different upon first sip. Fuller bodied, dark colored wine, with intense tannins of vanilla, blueberries, apricots and plums. I agree that it finishes with a balsamic taste. Very good. Needs to breathe and suggest decanting. Very good. Quite impressive.

Good dark ruby color with violet edges. Burnt cherry nose. Has some deep dried fruit (fig, prune) very soft palette with clean medium tannins. Very drinkable. Palette is a little plain though

I find most South American malbecs a little too earthy and lacking depth, but this Argentina beauty is a different cat. Lots of fruit comes through and it has a really nice finish. Drinks a lot better than its price tag. Needs to breath 30 min to open up. I've had two bottles and will be buying again.
