Quite impressed with this wine from a popular supermarket. Great depth and at the same time quite mellow. Enjoying it with some bbq meats. Excellent quality given the price. — 22 days ago
Rojo intenso y profundo. Aromas de chocolates, frutos rojos, ciruelas y pasas que se repiten en paladar. Extraordinariamente sedoso y aterciopelado, corto al paladar pero con resabores perfumados.

This reminds me of what Rombauer aspires to be. Buttery, oaky, and unabashed in style, yet pulls it in just before it gets all out of whack. Marshmallow cream puff is the one note that stands out on the nose. Additional notes of cotton candy, mint and rich lemon cream come through aromatically and on the palate (with some honeyed tropical fruits). Maybe hold and check in with 2-3yrs more of age? — 10 days ago
Great pairing with a red based turkey chili. Hints of black pepper, plum, berries, and boldness. Did not pair well with dark chocolate as much as I thought it would’ve. — 8 days ago
Dark ruby in color with a cloudy brick rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, chocolates, vinaigrette, mocha, coffee and black pepper.
Full bodied, rich and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, raisins, vanilla, cedar, licorice, cloves, coffee, chocolates, tobacco, peppercorn and vinaigrette.
Medium finish with soft tannins and spices.
This Argentinian Red Blend from the house of Dave Phinney is always enjoyable. Nicely balanced with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel.
This non vintage is probably on the way out now, but still very enjoyable. I kept it for 3 years to see how it evolves, and now I know it's better fresh. It started dying after an hour of airtime.
Good right out of the bottle and good for parties.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of Malbec with some Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Aged for 10 months in oak barrels.
14% alcohol by volume.
