One of the best grocery store wines in Catalonia. A steal at 7.45€. Strawberries on the nose. Cherries and plums on the palate. Consistently good from one bottle to the next.

The nose is blackberry jam, stewed plum, and baked fig with a bit of barnyard funk. The palate features more baked fig, ripe fig, cooked strawberry, plum, oak, anise, black tea, cola, blackberry, and soft chewy tannins that give way to tobacco notes in the high acid finish. Still a bit tightly wound, I’d love to try this bottle five years from now. Definitely decant until then.
