Equal parts Barbera & Bonarda. Deep purple in the glass, both bright & smoky on the palate. Winemaker dinner @sauvage; La Stoppa's charming Elena Pantaleoni describes this as a daily drinker. Fine with me!

2012. Funk, a little fizz, black fruit.

Sometimes the wacky aunt steals the show. Natural funk, pleasing carbonic texture. Just a good time.

Super old school funky. Nothing about this is about the fruit. Densely packed tannins and great structure

An odd wine. Inky, jammy, funky, iron all at the same time. Too much VA for my taste, but I still like it overall. Not bad w/ bolognese.

It does feel like a slight fizz. Would be so so good with charcuterie
