Gavi comes from a small growing area in northwestern Italy located north of Genoa on the steep slopes of the Ligurian Apennines. Made from the Cortese di Gavi grape, straw yellow with delicate aromas of green and citrus fruits. On the palate apple, grapefruit and tropical fruits, some nutty notes, rich with flavor, nice mouthfeel. Crisp finish, lingering, ending with a flinty mineral character. Enjoy with a nice Bronzino!

Chaulk and grapefruit on the nose with a bit of sea marsh.
Elegant and smooth on the palate, notes and sensation of cream and butter as it is aged on the lees. Lemon, white peach, and honeysuckle. Medium acidity, medium length, overall very polished and well done.

2018. Because we enjoyed the Gavi Brut, we ordered a still Gavi to have with our pasta courses. This wine was an education for my daughter as she did not enjoy the aromas when opened (cat pee she thought) but by the end of her black cod entree, she thought the wine had opened up incredibly and was delicious.

Very enjoyable Gavi, strongly flavored tropical blend with a slightly grassy flavor. Very enjoyable on a sunny day outside with Alpine cheese. Much better than any other Gavi.

Half bottle. Yellow straw color. Crisp and bright. Very refreshing. Pineapple, lime, and some floral tones in both smell and taste. Medium finish. Not really my style, but was exactly what I was looking for prior to dinner!

Crisp, clean with mild acidity. The regular la scolca is really good, but this is better.
