Had the 2022 in July of 2024. Cherry up front with tannin lingering. Had with calamari and caprese skewers. Enjoyed it with apps before dinner.

Enjoyed this barbera. Full bodied very tannic. Lots of cherry. Had a mouth watering metallic taste at the finish but dynamite with food. Would buy again.

Did not care for this wine on its own. Initially tasted mostly like cherries ( which I associate with cough medicine), light bodied, tart, with a hint of black pepper. It was dynamite with amatriciana pasta though. The pepper and tobacco really came through and tasted more full bodied with food. Would love to have again, just not on its own.

Bold, rich, and full bodied with delightful acidity and tart red fruits to make this a very well-balanced wine. The relatively low tannins really rounds everything out. Inviting and delicious.

Liked this for the racy acidity, red fruits, black tea, a little tomato leaf and funky earth, all balanced with some stiff tannin. Good pizza wine.
