Massively structured and dark-fruited Pommard with intense concentration. Black currant, licorice and spices, grainy tannin and taught mineral backbone. Very impressive, needs some serious time in bottle.

Lovely core of Pinot fruit and puppy fat when first opened, then the broad shoulder typicity of iron rich Pommard began to show though after 30 mins. Ripe, but chewy tannins, good acid, subtle minerality, and a nice undertone of earth and undergrowth.
