Displaying mineral-driven raspberry, blood orange, nectarine character, 2017 La Bastide’s Blanche Bandol Rosé shows outstanding clarity and cut on a finish that lingers with strong, floral-tinged persistence. This is a classic rendition from France’s Bandol region. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2018)

Peach and strawberry with classic bandol herbaceousness. A nice bandol rose, but a touch of bitterness on the finish leaves this at a level below my usuals..

Pretty complex for a rosé with strawberries, grapefruit, hints of anise. Lovely wine!

Like the first taste but bitterness kind of linger. Too bad ... but still a good rose maybe better with some cheese

Orange pink in color...nose of peach..melon..blood orange.. flowers. Glycerin on the palate...tastes heavy of white flowers..minerals..herbs..watermelon rind grapefruit!...a bit bitter on the finish (I did have onion 6 hrs. Ago)...keep swirling the glass and trying to decide...definitely not Tempier!

Great label, great terroir how can you go wrong. Maybe it was the gin we sampled earlier, maybe it was the plastic cups, maybe it was poor storage or just plain inferior. Whatever after day fly fishing we couldn’t finish the bottle and poured it out. Ouch oh well on to the next one Cheers 🍷
