Incredible aromatics of fresh and dried and roses and intense cherry flower. Elegant and enveloping. Glorious aromas. Wow. 9.6 nose. Road tar, oolong tea and smoke start to develop. Confectionary cherry flower. Mid to late season cherry as well. Stunning. Palate is dense yet lithe with ripe and juicy tannins and sweet mid season cherry fruit accented with cherry flower pollen. Wow. Such a well made wine and extraordinary finish. So complex, ethereal and concentrated. Pure and elegant. Just a stunner. My heart lies with Alto Piemonte and Valtelljna for Nebbiolo always. Wow the inner mouth aromas. So juicy and just full of energy. Unreal freshness makes this akin to popping so many perfect tiny cherries in one’s mouth. What a wine. Young but not inaccessible and so promising. Now with air there is an opulence to the mid palate. Wow what length. Now a 9.6 from 9.5.

Nose is all smoke, hickory, decaying leaves, floral, smoked meats, fresh potting soil, juicy, deep and structured with elegant fruit and spice. Finish is a bit drying. Juicy red fruits, complex and fresh, invigorating. Acid is fresh. Clean. Very good.

Nose: holy cow. Incredibly intense. Pink Rose petals. Almost searing. Gorgeous. Swirling. So pretty. Lilacs. Chocolate. Gentle Nebbiolo spice. A masterpiece of winemaking. A 9.8 nose. So beautiful you can’t believe something this gorgeous exists.

Palate: intense early season cherries. Phenomenally linear. So precise. The elegance on this is off the charts. So juicy and fresh. Hints of leather.

Finish just clings. Nebbiolo spice. Fresh run cherry juice. I can’t believe that this is 8 years old.

Pretty cherry mahogany balsamic color that drags itself slowly to the edge of the skirted glass. The aromas don't jump, they're little folders standing military style in a file cabinet that we get to thumb through one by one. One for cherry, one for leather, cinnamon, menthol, tobacco, cedar, chocolate, coffee.

Nose is dusty rose.

Palate is silky. Elegant.

Nose just has that aged Nebbiolo thing. Dried leaves. Dried roses. Very elegant.

Palate is very bright still. Ooh man. Bright cherries. Cherry flower internal aromatics. Gorgeous.

So old school alto Piemonte. All about the balance and elegance. Very old school volnay like In weight.

I’m guessing this should be drink in the next 2 years.

Pop and pour and down in 30 minutes. Even as the fruit dies it’s gorgeous. Like the last breath of an opera star. Finish is rose juice. Ephemeral. Like much great beauty.

50 minutes in the nose is simply inexplicable. Like dried rose perfume that was aged for 5 years. So subtle. I dunno. Just a thing of beauty.

No decant. Drink within 35 minutes. It’s loses its energy after that.
