Killer nose of limestone, lime zest, some light butter and some light oak. So well done. Nose is so expressive. Palate is rich, ripe, textured and so clean with lovely sweet lime fruit and tremendous balance and purity. Nose has some nice sweaty elements as well. Unreal how clean this is. Stunningly pure. Not too complex but hits the right notes perfectly.

May 29th, 2023All aboard the German Chardonnay train. Nose is super crisp and clean almost like a Chablis crossed with cote de beaune and German engineering thrown in. Nose is so clean. Mineral and complex. Not a hint of wood. Not sure if this sees any wood actually. Palate is just terrific. This is crisp yet rich, tangy yet opulent, and mineral yet also approachable and herbal. This is the closest thing to German Chablis I’ve ever had. This is so good. Concentrated and pure. Silky and slippery. This is just terrific. Long finish. This is such an over performer for the price. Lemony lime finish and just wonderful richness. That richness allied with playfulness is what makes this so special. And it’s such a value!

Nose has lemon zest & pith, lemon/poppyseed muffin and damp chalk.
Palate has lemon sugar cookie, over-ripe lemon, warm sand notes, faint salinity and orange zest on the finish.
What a beautiful wine, great improvement in a days time.
I might draw a connection to Chablis. My initial score after a 2H decant was 91, today we're much improved, score updated to 93.

I keep saying it - German Chardonnay is the next big thing. It could be from Burgundy, but would be at least twice the price. Clean and mineral on the nose, chalk and lemon on the palate, maybe a hint of marzipan. This is structured, yet zippy. Excellent!

German Chardonnay posing like Burgundy. High acid zippy, but with a nod to sweet citrusy pale colored pastries. Made me think of lemon zested frosted cupcakes.

Nose is mineral. A bit saline.
Palate is lovely. Lemon. Mineral. Some elegant richness. Finely ground minerals. Some mountain stream. A hint of gods lemon soda.
Very good 1er cru chablis with some minor elegant richness.

I served this too cold. Needs to be closer to room temperature.
