Krug ID says it has the 1996 through 2012 in it. Yet again, another phenomenal expression of Krug.

Very appropriate for an epic LSU win over Alabama. Such awesome acidity and structure. I’m ready for the next bottle!

Monthly WTF wine group night. Our theme was American oak vs French oak. All wines tasted blind. We started off with two bottles of bubbly and finished with two non-themed reds.

This is the 2011 vintage base. Not surprised due to how young it is, but there was very little notes of their typical slightly oxidative style. Yeasty, but more honeyed. Hint of toffee, caramelized green apple and nice layers.

For the rainy Labor Day! Orange blossom, fresh and dried apricot and mango, lime, ginger, vanilla, buttery toast, creamy mousse clouds the palate. Medium acidity, perceptible white wine tannin, pronounced intensity and long finish.

@Mike R Never comes empty-handed. This is one of six different bottles he brought with him for the night. What away to start an evening. Can’t thank you enough driving down to Greensboro, NC. for the night. Enjoyed this beauty- at Sam Snead’s cabin where he & his Beautiful bride stayed at.

Sweet at the edges, honeyed with tangy lemon and some slatey minerality. Hints of green apple . Some brioche and ush fruit.

Older bottle so it’s hard to know when I bought it....guess that’s the fun part!
