Seems a cut above and more distinguished than most of the other KB offerings. I get the distinct cherry cola note that I’m used to with Kosta Brown but there’s some real nuance here too. Very rich but absolutely no heat and markedly silky and penetrating. Could still use some time in the bottle to be sure but in a nice spot now.

First time for this vineyard of Kosta Browne. Starts off a little hot, after 45 minutes open it shows how well made it is. Black fruits with plum explode in your mouth. Really expressive finish. CB

Had the pleasure of recently tasting 8 Kosta Browne wines. Here is another, Wow! Dark Ruby with ripe fruit aromas, rich with pepper spice notes. On the palate cherry, blackberry and sweet red plums, cinnamon notes, aged for 16 months on French oak (40% new), lively acidity on structured frame of fine tannins. Lingering finish ending with flint and mineral tones. Keep this in the cellar for a few more years. Tasting Sample.

My first taste of single vineyard '13 Kosta Browne. A little closed off initially, opened up beautifully in 2nd hour. I'll wait about 1.5 years to open another, but this is still presenting quite impressively out of the gate

Do I deserve this? Thankfully, I opened it before I got an answer. #splurgebirthdaybottle

This has held up well. Good depth of fruit and enough acidity for balance.

Super bright and eager. Ready immediately and drinks so well. Abundance of fruit as always. It may not put the B in “subtle” but it saves it for “bold”. A most reliable wine.
