Deep dark Brooding purple flavoured Australia. Kooyong longstanding and consistent style.

Looked dark and youthful. Smelt and tasted delicious, but started to fall apart after a few hours. Maybe drink now, maybe hold for ethereal beauty? Classic beguiling Pinot.

Ferrous based on red pebbles. Bit more full bodied than other single vineyards from Kooyong.

Crisp cherry and cranberry fruit. Iron spine with dusty tannins. Good length.

So this is what all the excitement is about. Kooyong has a terrific reputation and now I know why. 11 years old and still young and vibrant. First class juice.

TOPS for Pinot Noir from anywhere! I'll take this over a Burgundy, a Central Otago, a Willamette, etc. any day! More fruit than your tongue knows what to do with and a finish that outlasts some top Cabernets! A must try before you die wine!!!
