Pleasantly surprised how well this has held up after a dozen years or so in bottle, even on day two it’s still singing. This was 93-points Parker back in the day and it still shows bountiful energy - sweet black plum and fig along with lots of fun savory flavors like black tea, anise and licorice. And I have a couple more left...

Whiffs of brett on the nose and then has a fair amount of VA. Tasting beyond that is pleasant enough. Cherry and raspberry but not getting any of the black pepper and complexity that I find in most cool climate Syrah. A bit 1 dimensional but good enough for the G.O. price.

This is the 2016 vintage, which is well balanced. There is slight spice up front and bright fruit mid to finish.

Great value wine. Typical fruity Syrah but well balanced and smooth tannins. Slightly short on the finish.

had this Syrah after it been Opened for a couple hours, classic profile, stone fruit, earthy, bright, and valanced. Med bodied.
