Kabinett trocken Scheurebe

Pale golden dry slightly acidic with hints of honey, citrus, apple and pear. Refreshing and crisp with a suggestion of mineral on the finish.

Peachy (ripe) with restrained acidity.

Interesting wine. Have not have Scheurebe before. Made in a dry style from the Pfalz, Germany with strong citrus (grapefruit) aromas. Not quite as acidic as Reisling and no petrol on the nose, but otherwise similar. Served with grilled cauliflower, green gaspacho, goat's milk yogurt and bak choy, over lunch at Restaurant De Kas in Amsterdam.

Hard to pick the wine of the night tonight...

Try Wine store clerk said this tastes like an Oregon Pinot. I don't think it does, but it's pretty tasty.

A little too much like apple juice. Otherwise good.
