Beautiful Pinot. I really enjoy Sonoma Coast and Freestone/Occidental in particular. Steve crafts a fine wine - it’s harmonious.

The 2016 Cuvée Natalie showing up with all the charm. Mouthfeel of berry-infused violets, cranberry and gorgeous deep garnet color. Needed an hour to open up and present it’s richness and sexy appeal. Really outstanding to my taste. Cheers!

Extraction. Better with aeration, but not my jam. BTG at Kistler/SingleThread wine dinner.

Maybe the best Cali pinot I ever drunk. All the red and black berries you can imagine. Medium bodied and absolute finesse and a very long finish. Great restraint on the alcohol. Too bad that I couldn’t get a case of this but with the seven remaining bottles I will lure a number of guest into calling it a burgundy. Maybe a great Volnay???

Classic Kistler. Bright red fruits of, cherries, strawberries, dry cranberries, lots of baking spices, cola, fair amount of woodiness with bright red florals, nice acidity and good polish

Very big Pinot. Deep blue fruits, tannins are still there at the finish but are softened. Not subtle but enjoyable

Well made, deeply colored, rich without being hot, mucho oak, and fairly tannic. Good to know the Kistler bench mark.
