I’ve been wanting to try this bargain-priced #sonomacounty #chardonnay from KS / Costco for a while - hey for $7, what the heck? A little reserved on the nose: light lemon curd, butterscotch, beeswax and hints of banana pudding - good heft on the palate but acidity gives it lift, oak and vanilla notes in the background and there’s a touch of baking spice on the finish. It paired admirably with a leftover pasta herb frittata served with fresh tomato sauce. This bargain Chard easily outshines any of the mass-market wines under $15.
