Impressive for such a young CDP. Still trying to wrap my head around a Kirkland signature CDP. But the base line is this - tasting blind I would pair almost any food with this wine, and isn’t that really the point of CDP.

Mellow, dry, smooth round tannins. Deep. Very enjoyable hints of cherry

Perhaps it was a mistake to drink this after a glass of the KS Barolo but seemed a bit overweight and lacking in acidity without the layers of complexity I expect in a #chateauneufdepape. It may have come down to insufficient time to aerate.

Medium ruby in color; cherries, hibiscus, and black teaon the nose; medium acidity; high tannins; tastes like strawberry jam, blackberries, and a hint of asphalt with a long finish. Letting it decant to see if it opens up more. It really opened up after an hour in the decanter. There was a bitterness that dissappeared. Nellie and I both like this wine.

Another solid $20 Costco wine. Their buyer is spot on. This and Chateau de Bosc are now two of our favorites pound for pound wines. Smooth, balanced, flavorful.
