Jul 7th, 2024A beast. Still overwhelming and powerful after all these years. Needs steak. Deep and brooding, you can contemplate the meaning of life while drinking. Strong earthiness and high alcohol. A very earthy nose as well. Not as elegant as an Hermitage but an excellent Syrah. Worth its $75 price.

Prunes and blackcurrant on the nose. Big extracted style. Almost syrupy. Ribena without enough water. Still some grip on the back end but not enough structure to balance the mass of fruit

Unbelievably generous wine. One of the best Shiraz I have tasted. Smooth tannins, still fruity. Would like to taste in another 10 years.

This is a kick ass 05 Clare valley Shiraz.......when you are in the mood for big, beautiful yet sophisticated, this delivers......killer wine. It's great to drink with Australians who appreciate great Australian wine.....
