52%G/34%S/14%M. A very polished young wine. Bursting with fresh fruit and a velvety texture. Balanced by medium acidity and finishes with slight tannins. Drinks well now and should improve for a couple more years.

I tried this right out of the bottle and was a little worried - super tight and one dimensional - but after two hours open it was singing and I was smiling. The nose has a more savory profile but the palate is full of bright red fruits with crushed gravel on the finish. Super smooth - the fruit and spice from the Grenache keeps the gaminess/savory flavors of the Syrah in check while the Mourvèdre adds richness. Helen Keplinger is a genius when it comes to these new world “old world blends” - I have yet to have one from her that hasn’t been fantastic.

Deep garnet and ruby red. Savory nose with green olives, twigs and even a finish of red cherries. Lovely layered palate, slight stoney finish, with notes of olives, red cherries and slightly earthy, Slightly dry and long finish. Drink till 2034.

Double decant and pour(decent fine/cloudy sediment). A startling dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: Subdued nose of boysenberry, smoked meat, herbaceous, slate. Taste: smooth, round wine with an assortment of fading red/black/blue fruit, chocolate, graphite, potting soil and a medium dry finish.

1 hour decant. An inspiring inky ruby red color. On the nose: dark fruit, pine tree, earthy, floral. Taste: kaboom goes the BlackBerry, pencil lead, orange peel, some coffee.. with a nice rich mouthfeel and a black cherry tar medium plus finish. Fine tannins still kicking, will give it just a little more time for next bottle.
