Kelley Fox Wines
Mirabai Pinot Noir
Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA

Founded in 2007, very nice small production Pinot, 662 cases. The ‘17 has grapes from all six blocks at Maresh, had another bottle, last tasted 10 months ago. Very Light Ruby (lightest Pinot I ever had), floral and fruit aromas, very light almost crisp. On the palate flavors of bing cherry and fresh strawberry with elegant spice. Fine tannins, long ending with fruit, refined spice and mineral notes. Great drinking now, will run few years and bring out more complexity. Nice!

Pale ruby, bright acidity, black tea, earthy, with orange peel, black cherry, strawberry, forest floor. Medium bodied, still a bit tight on the palate. Give it a year or two.

Founded in 2007, very nice small production Pinot, 662 cases. The ‘17 has grapes from all six blocks at Maresh. Light Ruby, floral and fruit aromas, very light almost crisp. On the palate youthful flavors of cherry and fresh strawberry with elegant spice. Fine tannins, lingering ending with fruit and tangy spice and mineral notes. Great now but a few years will bring out more of the wines complexity.

Dark ruby with moderate concentration. Wild herbs, orange peel, tart cherry and some unexpected green pepper. Zero oak. Medium bodied. Quite restraint...

Pale, translucent / ripe raspberry, rose petal / super delicate, subtle, thoughtful, restrained / some spices slide in on the finish, elevated by minerality / lucid and haunting

The nose was intense with dark red fruits offset by saline-minerals, wild herbs and crushed stone. On the palate, I found tart red berry mixed with zesty acidity and textures and a mineral core. Again savory over sweet.
