Chenin and Sauv blanc in a very nice mix with other grapes from South Africa. Distinctly pyrazinous nose and balanced throughout.

The Terrasse is a white blend that gets its name from Keermont’s terraced vineyards. It is a blend of Chenin Blanc from a 46 year old un-irrigated vineyard called 'Riverside' and is complimented by Chenin from two younger vineyards and varying fractions of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier.

The nose is a little shy. Cut grass, understated; lemon, lime, pineapple, green melon and white peach. Soft chalkiness & minerality, light saline, white & yellow flowers.

The body is light and lively. Understated; lemon, lime, pineapple, green melon, white peach, honeysuckle a little cut grass, soft chalkiness & minerality, light saline, white & yellow flowers. Beautiful acidity and elegant, ripe, well balanced finish that persists softly in the mouth.

We also tasted his 2013 Cabernet Reserve & his 2016 Fluerfonein (sticky Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc wine) but, I didn’t have time to write notes as we had to get to another appointment. 🤷‍♂️ Both good and worth seeking out.

First of the blind white wines for our South African blind tasting. This bottling by Keermont Vineyards is still just a baby that needs some time to fully open up and needs to be around cellar temperature to be enjoyed. Light pale yellow with a muted nose. A touch of floral notes and a little bit of stone/tropical fruits. High acidity (7/10) with a slow attack moving towards a medium to medium plus body. Notes of lemon zest, peaches, and solid minerality on the palate. Really pulls nicely together with the acidity in the long finish. Drink till 2027.

I think
@David L can attest to the value and deliciousness of this bottling!

Sipping this beauty will keep me from being *too* jealous of our coworkers who are there now. 67% Chenin, 17% Chardonnay, 9% Viognier, 7% Sauvignon.

Thick in the mouth, but refreshing salinity. Lime, lots of lime and a bit of minerals. Yummy!

Really luscious texture, vanilla, butterscotch, citrus, some salt, and spice on the finish, lively acidity. Intriguing and refreshing. The oak and lees are both present, but elegant.

Full bodied and complex. A solid effort as usual.
