Oct 28th, 2023The 2018 Isosceles is youthfully understated yet darkly alluring, with black cherry and spiced citrus nuances lifting from the glass. This washes across the palate with ease, cool-toned and with a pure mix of red and black fruits. It finishes with admirable length while maintaining an energetic feel. Blackberry hints slowly fade. (Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2023)

May 18th, 2023This disappointed. It’s been years since I’ve had Isosceles and my memories are all positive. This is pedestrian.

Sep 15th, 2019Trying an earlier vintage. Wonderful. Powerful cassis notes and a balanced finish. Elegant.

Sep 3rd, 2019Exceptional! This was a half bottle vintage 2011 and I think it was the perfect age. Half bottles age quicker, so I would give a normal sized bottle about 10 years from vintage. Busting with wonderful fruit and mellow oak. Happy new year!

Jan 1st, 2019Was expecting a bigger fruit bomb - the dark fruits are accounted for.. dark plum, smashed berry. Cocoa powder, fresh black pepper & salinity. Better than expected.

Jan 30th, 2018Time for my Friday's Cabernet fix, the weekend is starting off right...
What a beautiful color on this Cabernet blend.
Ruby/ brick in color with medium intensity and a brick/ purplish rim.
Wonderful nose of blackberries, blueberries, red currants, light vanilla, oak, licorice, eucalyptus, light bell pepper, light metals, minerals, spices and black pepper.
Full-bodied, not bold, but rather elegant and smooth with gorgeous legs and medium acidity.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, sweet cherries, vanilla, oak, licorice, black olives, spices, earth and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine-grained tannins, that engage the mouth with wonderful fullness, cherries and black pepper.
What a gorgeous wine this is. Aged wonderfully, smooth and elegant with great balance and an awesome mouthfeel. Just delicious.
Surprisingly, very drinkable right out of the bottle, but of course, after an hour in a decanter it was so much better.
A blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot. Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.
15% alcohol by volume.
