Tasted several vintages, I’m just not a fan of Josh! Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits and pronounced spice. On the palate plum and blackberry flavors with pepper and herb spice, very acidic. Big firm biting tannins on medium(-) finish ending with oaky notes. Not my style, for a few $$ more try a Robert Mondavi, much better. Tasting Sample.

Worst Chard I have drank in 25 years. Poured 2/3 down the drain.

A light golden color reveals mild notes of orange and lemon zest. Both right out of the bottle as well as after a brief decant, the nose (slowly) begins to bloom, but the entry onto the palate becomes far more substantial than it began. Smooth and lush, the softness on the mid-palate shows some depth of character with a bit of creaminess that leads to an abbreviated but juicy finish. It’s perfect for picnics with chicken- or even fish.

Apple, pears, lemon, peaches and fig flavors. Lightly Oaked with just a touch of honey and butter on the finish. Eh. Not very interesting.

Joseph Carr has recently worked with Tom Larson to produce his second label, named - Josh Cellars. Pale with citrus and tropical fruit aromas. On the palate flavors of white flesh stone fruits with lemon rind and hints of oak. Medium finish, good balance, simple and refreshing. Good value. Tasting Sample.

Green apple and pear. Melon and wet rock. M acid and body. Bitter in the front palate. Cuts off a bit short.
