Didn’t do too bad in this blind - thought it was a warm vintage, village-level Bourgogne. Just couldn’t zoom in on the right village. On the nose, clearly some new oak influence, spices, mix of red and black fruits, and some violets. The palate felt quite elegant, but perhaps a bit simple for the level. Very red-fruit driven with discernible velvety tannins. Medium finish and acidity. Didn’t mind it, but it certainly wasn’t the red I reached for during our little gathering.
