A Portuguese blend with parts unknown, although it does taste similar to some Douro blends I've tasted . Blueberries & baking spices (cinnamon, cloves, vanilla) on the nose. Pallate adds blackberry & a hint of black pepper on the finish with medium-low tannins throughout. Finishs quick and a little flat, but overall this wine is quite quaffable & smooth. Also paired exceeding well to drink (& cook) with braised garlic beef short ribs! ($10) [7/12/20]

Ripe fragrant blueberries. Having some BBQ chicken and this will do nicely. Easy and not complicated.

"Portuguese Waterdogs are a treasured breed, originally from the southern coast of Portugal, near where our winery originates. Waterdog red wine has a fruity palate with notes of red berries and a touch of wood. Enjoy it with barbecue, roasts and pasta dishes.

Cute label with the dog. Screw-top. Blend of native Portuguese grapes. Lighter color. Smells very ripe. Fresh red/black berries. Fruity. Flavors are jammy and fruit forward. A good, simple wine to be quaffed.

I absolutely love this wine! Great with a variety of dishes or by itself. It is rare we find a wine we love enough to buy a case, but we did with this one!

Just an enjoyable wine! Pepper spice light dark fruit with a slight floral aroma. A bit of tannins and easy to drink. Having with pizza yummy.

Tart blackberries and medium tannins. Not much oak or layering, but a fresher taste - maybe the tiniest hint of herb or grass, but not harsh. Easy drinker for poolside bbq - a nice “summer red” - but if it’s spicy bbq then go bolder with a Malbec or big cab/Shiraz. Interest nag for around $15.
