Medium lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with honeysuckle notes. On the palate flavors of apple, pear, lemon citrus zest and melon, complex, mineral tones with soft creamy oak and sweet spice. The wine was fresh, with vibrant crisp acidity, well balanced on a long finish ending with fruit and floral notes. Has some mid-term aging potential. Outstanding!

Vertical of 12, 07, 02, and 97. In the oldest 2 fruit became more precise as tannin melted and and structure integrated around the ripe plum cherry and strawberry. The lush fruit combined with cedar and sanguine tones, actually reminded me of pomerol.

From magnum, not decanted...drink quickly! A delicate babe whose aromas are sure to fade fast.

The 2011 vintage in California was, in a word, challenging, but this Jordan Cab balances restraint and ripeness. Its black cherry fruit complements a lovely herbal freshness, and on the palate it feels clean and raw boned, with good angularity and focus. A blend of 79 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 17 percent Merlot, 3 percent Petit Verdot, and 1 percent Malbec, the wine spent 12 months in mostly French oak, one-third new. Its juiciness suggests pairing it now with lean meats, roasted poultry, medium aged cheeses, and savory vegetarian cuisine, and its structure suggests it will benefit from five or more years of aging. 13.8% abv | $53 (sample)

Taste great but I bet it would have tasted better a year ago... soft and light tannins.
