Cuvée du Domaine Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil Cabernet Franc

What could possibly go better with Sausage & Peppers than a wine that smells like..........SAUSAGE & PEPPERS!!!!!!
PS It's got nice acid too.

Birth year gem! Love old taluau! Aromas of walking through a garden! Still has plenty of life!!

surprisingly youthful for a nearly. 26 y.o. 🍷. heaps of green pepper and cedar on nose. palate has brightness thanks to slaking acids.

Blind tasted dan. Called it less than 5 year New world Syrah. Tastes so young. So vegetal.

As phenomenal as I remember from nearly a decade ago. Scintillating nose of stewed ripe capsicum, dried blackberries and black raspberry, savory sweet tobacco, dried trumpet mushroom, also fresh blackberry and fresh bell pepper. Medium bodied, moderate alcohol, beautiful acidity- medium plus. Medium tannins (super melted). Finish has a lot to say- fruits are more forward than the last bottle I had. This is really nice!

Thank you @Rajiv Ayyangar for opening during his birthday brunch! Officially this is my oldest cab franc ever. This was pyrazine-forward with all sorts of green olives and roasted bell pepper, but plenty of dried blackberries and roses still hanging on. There is some coarse tannin still kicking that makes me want to drink this with a steak.
