Bright red. Fresh cherry, raspberry and candied rose scents, along with suggestions of allspice and cola that emerge as the wine opens up. Silky and open-knit, offering sweet red and dark berry flavors lifted and given a spicy edge by a jolt of peppery spices. Earthy savory & herbaceous components blend beautifully with blackberry and dark cherry aromas and flavors. Herbs, earth & fruit are rounded out by vibrant acidity and a mineral core. Totally divine, elegant yet powerfully complex.

Good mid level Pinot for most. Nice ripe fruits of raspberries, cranberries, dark cherries, a little more minerality in this wine that others but not overdone. All Jim's wines are high in acid. He wouldn't have it any other way. Good clean ripe fruit finish.

Quite the nice bottle. The purple spectrum is quite strong, but overall lifted and not heavy handed.
