Nice to be back dinning at #bistrojeanty This was a great pairing with cassoulet.

Deep ruby with a pronounced, fruity nose with vanilla, blackberry, violet, blackberry and chocolate. The palate amplifies the aromas with firm tannin, medium acidity and a long finish - wonderful wine.

Oh so tasty. Oh so interesting also oh so I wish I had a brick of Brie to eat with. This could use more time. 7 years? Child’s play for a big wine line this. There are tannins galore, and the leather and earth and blood need at least another year. But I’m still so into this Cornas. Would love to taste their...2005. Ever date someone and it is not the right time for either but...that’s this. I’m sure if I am not going steady with another Cornas in five years I will have a night of passion with this one.

Smoked wild game, ripe plum, cracked pepper, and blackberry, with a backdrop of dried lavender, Worcestershire, and roasting coffee. Sauvage and savory.

Not a fan of this. A little too much licorice and weight for me.

Blend of Syrah from 20 different plots in Cornas. Aged in oak for 2 years. Dark, serious, mineral, aromas of dark fruit, game, leather, hints of licorice and coffee. Bold, quite concentrated, slightly harsh tannins at the moment

Bigger more fruit forward/oak ladened style Syrah than I'm used to from the northern Rhone. Still, lots of rustic character with spice and gamey notes.
