Dark purple in color with a wide reddish rim.
On the nose, blueberries, cherries, plums, wood, earth, dirt, bell pepper, vegetables, herbs, graphite, wet leaves, tobacco and peppercorn.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with cherries strawberries, red currants, bitter herbs, raspberries, earth, green vegetables, licorice, spices, tobacco leaf, pencil lead, black pepper and wood.
Medium finish with firm tannins and bitter vegetable.
This Côte du Rhône red is still drinking nicely, but on the way out. Not fully balanced anymore, but showing nice complexity. Earthy with lots of vegetable notes. A good everyday wine.
Needs an hour to open up properly and show some tannins, but not as fruity as right out of the bottle.
A blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

$12.99 at retail, #wine was GREAT value. So. Rhone 10's are about fruit purity to me. Fresh Raspberry and white pepper with distinct tar. G33/S34/M33. 2 days later with no gas, wine is still good...

How on earth is this only $9? Raspberries and white pepper galore in this quaffable delight. Sure, it's got a finish that's a little short, and it isn't winning the prize for most complex nose or palate, but let's be real: for the price, this is tough to beat.
