Ruby color, cloudy, typical of unfiltered wines. evolved nose, peppery, compote, strawberry and red fruits at 110%. Intensely greedy
Couleur rubis, trouble, typique des vins non filtrés. nez évolué, poivré, compoté, fraise et fruits rouges à 110%. Intensément gourmand.

Always as much pleasure, with Foillard wines. 2016 is perfectly to my taste. Between the juicy crunch of youth, and the more aerial floral character that the Morgons develop as they age. A juice that pinote with truffled and undergrowth notes. Delight of finesse.

100% Gamay from vineyards on granite and slate soils in Morgon, one of Beaujolais’ the top 10 crus. Cold carbonic maceration. Fermented with native yeasts for 3-4 weeks and then aged for 4-5 months in stainless steel.

Dec 7th, 2020Simpler than it’s bigger brother, but still quite charming and chuggable. More of a classic expression of Gamay and without much depth - it does bring that Foillard-mineralty or whatever you want to call it.
