Jean Foillard
"Cuvée Corcelette" Morgon Gamay
Lots going on in the nose and mouth, but very flabby and disjointed. Nose is so feral, with barnyard and intense minerality taking the lead. In the mouth, though, it’s very hot and a little scorchy. Yes, it has nice fruit, but still. Lots of components but they just don’t fit together well in a package. Freakin’ 15s.

More focused and possessing more tension than most of the four-square ‘15s I’ve had, it’s still pretty full bodied, and has some tannin to resolve in the darkly-minerally finish. Very distinctive!

Inky nose. Smells very ripe but also dull. Huge cherry. Some spice. Expressive but more blunt than ethereal. Even jumbled. Palate is more jumbled. Really thin, and almost like it refermented? Like a flat soda thing. But also chemical. This is not correct. No rating as this is majorly flawed. Refermented is my call
