Beaujolais Villages Gamay

Short decant. Disappointing/ Probably flawed bottle. On opening, some fruit but very muted, then some atypical/unpleasant nose and flavors. Quite different from other bottles of this so think this was flawed.

not very flavorful a good wine to drink with dinner. tastes like grapes but not much else going on

Medium ruby in color with pronounced nose of tart cherry and cinnamon. On the palate more tart cherry, cranberry, under ripe strawberry, raspberry, and mint. High acid, low tannins, medium alcohol, light body with a long finish.

Understated, fresh and not overdone.

Christmas dinner. Good wine. Heavier than I expected but worked perfectly with the brisket dinner! Not as good as the County Line Pinot I had though.

Not a huge Beaujolais fan — but this one is great! Don’t get an overload of banana and sweetness.

Cranberry, Cherry Twizzlers and a sprinkle of earth. Damn good.
