Lodi Viognier

Christmas eve appetizers. Medium body and fruity but not too sweet.

Decent drink if rather alcoholic on the palate. Still, can't quibble for the price when Viognier is usually a pricey wine.

Light white. A bit flat

OK as viogniers go. I'm a Rhone varietals fan, and this is well-structured with strong honey overtones, but I'm waiting for some sharp fruit to punch through the sweet, and it doesn't happen. Falls a bit short for me.

Candy- like nose. Too sweet for my taste ( I prefer Bone- dry). It's only semi- sweet.

Floral sense without light caramel body slightly acidic on the front palate and fruity on mid palate

I've never had this varietal before. Floral and fruity on the nose, a bit sweeter than my usual tastes but it's not overwhelming. It actually is really nice with chips and salsa.

Quote from my tasting buddy: "It reminds me of boxed Zinfandel... But that could be the salsa talking."
