More Chenin shows at least to this palate— 50/50 blend Chard/Chenin

I should have judged this book by its cover…

Almost like a Lemonhead meets a Lemon Cream Poppyseed Muffin had a wine baby. Supposedly the wine maker is a “rebel with a cause” and that is enough for me to drink and buy another bottle! Perhaps to drink along side a baguette, European butter and some Maldon salt.

Citrusy great acid, intense!

Inoffensive but plain. Nice buttery mouthfeel

2018 vintage was wonderful. Very good table wine. Somewhat fruity but not overly so. Had with shrimp dinner. Recommend without reservation

Thought I had this before when it was straight chenin but this has chard. Just like this producer’s red blend, these varietals didn’t work for me. The oak was prevalent which dried out & shut down finish. Some citrus & orchard fruit on nose, but exceedingly austere on palate. Lacking mouthfeel on palate as well.

Nice soft crisp citrus with soft fruit like peach too. Very pleasant and muted richness.
