Wallufer Walkenberg Spätlese trocken Riesling

Ridiculous how good this is.

Aged beautifully. More honeyed and rich at this point than sweet, it opens up to some fleshy nectarine & apricot notes. The petrol nose gives way to similar stone fruit & this is all knit together beautifully with a shimmering acid backbone whose brightness makes me believe that this has plenty of life still. Haunting Riesling.

Completely dry with depth and complexity. Stunner.

Showing great and holding on strong. Honey and flint with sherry-like oxidation. Very dry but intensely fruity on the palate. I want more.

2nd bottle. Acid was more integrated. Perfect pair with pork chicharrones!

Petrol, melon, grilled apricots. In a fantastic spot right now. Most certainly its peak.
