This really brings the ruckus for a domestic sparkler. A mostly blanc de noirs at almost 80/20 Pinot Noir to Chardonnay. The copper color is quite distinctive, and after your eyes adjust, the fashion of it is quite taking. Bing cherry and stone fruit are laced with Meyer lemon and served of an almond paste. A simply brilliant balance of fruit, citrus, and nut. The secondary baked biscuit confirms its equal standing with many of the prominent Champagne house’s basic cuvées.

Very pale salmon color with an abundant stream of tiny bubbles with red berry, toast, stone fruit, and a hint of nutmeg aromas. On the palate it's fresh and balanced with an enticingly creamy mousse and raspberry, white peach, blood orange, and kiss of ginger and lime flavors with an appealing minerality and very giving finish. Blend of 78% Pinot Noir 22% Chardonnay. 13.5% abv

Best known for its Sparkling Wines, which have been served at the White House since 1985, beginning with the historic U.S.-Russian Summit Meetings ending the Cold War. A blend of 78% Pinot Noir and 22% Chardonnay & aged 3 years prior to release, showing aromas of red fruit, citrus and spice. Raspberry and cherry flavors come forth with orange zest, earthy spice and tiny flowing bubbles. The wine is well balanced, gentle acidity, some yeast and minerality on the lingering finish. Celebrate! Tasting Sample

Stroll into the evening. An average sparkler at best. Very heady with an strong nose of uncooked dough. Nectarine, white peach and carnation pack the finish of this Cali Blend.

This was a bit muted. All the pieces are there and together but there just wasn’t much happening. Grilled lemons and some papaya. Lively bubbles. Nothing at finish. Expected more from Iron Horse. Maybe it’s time has passed.
